About
I have been working with technology my entire adult life. I truly enjoy the challenges every new project brings. My professional career started in the 90′s working in the 12 volt industry installing car stereos, alarm systems and remote starters. Within a few short years I worked my way through the local shops becoming one of the best local techs. I was in demand for my talents with customers willing to wait for up to a month for me to customize their cars with gadgets. Then one day I just decided that I wanted to build a computer. I had no real experience but I knew I could do it. Every day I was creating advanced circuits and thought “no problem”. Phone calls were made and I ended up with a box of parts that I had no clue what to do with. After quickly un-boxing everything and examining the pieces it all seemed to fall right together. I plugged in my box of success turned it on and nothing. Some trouble shooting was done and diagnosed as a bad power supply. The part was replaced and the computer fired right up. I fumbled my way through my first Windows installation but the project was complete. So I thought. This was the beginning of an addiction. I went back to school and completed my associates degree in computer science. I did well in my lab classes usually finishing my projects well before all the other students. The pieces just fell right into place for me. While still in school I started to teach myself html and how to create web pages. I had to know how everything worked on the hardware and software level. It’s now several years later and I still have that original pc with a countless number of upgrades and I still use it every day. Over the years I have provided quality IT services to a countless number of businesses and have been employed in several technology based industries. Today I run my own technology consulting firm D.E. Koziol Professional Technology Consulting. My mission is to save businesses money with technology. A good example would be keeping their computers running efficiently and keeping employees connected with mobile devices. I offer a large variety of technology based services. I can be quoted saying “if it has batteries or glows in the dark I can help”. I’m also employed at a local company that does home integration (smart homes) as a systems programmer. It has been very easy for me to excel in this industry due to all my past experience. In my spare time I enjoy developing for the iPhone and pushing this amazing device to its limits. I have been a member of this community since the beginning. Yes I am one of those idiots that waited in line for it more than once.
I am one of an elite few that just understands how stuff works. I am excited for the future awaiting new developments in science and technology.
